Which Central Uganda areas does Meraki cover?+
Meraki’s location directory covers more than 200 named areas across Kampala, Wakiso, Mukono, Buikwe, Masaka, Luwero, Mpigi, Mityana, Mubende, Kayunga and other Central Region districts. Candidate availability changes, so a coordinator can also check nearby areas.
Can I search for a housemaid near my home?+
Yes. Choose your area in the public directory to see currently listed candidates associated with it. If there is no exact result, submit your home area and Meraki can check suitable candidates nearby.
Are all housemaids shown online trained and verified?+
Yes. A public profile cannot be approved until the candidate has passed Meraki’s eight-course, two-month training programme and completed the required identity, residence, reference and health checks.
Can I meet a candidate before placement?+
Yes. Online profiles are used for discovery and shortlisting. Meraki then confirms your household needs and arranges an in-person introduction before you make a final decision.
What can I compare when choosing a housemaid?+
You can compare job-related information such as training performance, practical skills, languages, education, experience, location and availability. Sensitive documents and private verification records are not displayed publicly.
